Marjorie Holmes – 93 years of Chorlton Memories
Marjorie Holmes died on 20th Feb 2014. This is a recording of some of Marjorie’s memories of living in Chorlton, the place where she was born in May 1921. As well as memories of St Clement’s old church and going for milk at Ivygreen Farm, she was also in the RAF in WW2 as a flight mechanic and remembers German prisoner’s of war working on fields next to Wilbraham Road. This was recorded on 5th April 2011
