The Sunday Tea for Good Neighbour’s older members takes place on the  first Sunday in the month from 4 to 6pm at St Ninans Church.

These ever popular Sunday Teas continue to see around 40 older people come along for bingo, a two course hot meal, raffle and entertainment. Many of the attendees have little or no local family so being brought out to a ‘Tea’ can break that weekend isolation, and be a real highlight of the month. We have invited a range of entertainers – including belly dancers, children’s circus acts, tai chi demonstration, folk singers and small choirs.

The Sunday Teas are a good opportunity for volunteers who work during the week to come along and feel part of the volunteer team.   We rely on volunteers to be bingo callers,  help in the kitchen and to act as drivers to ferry people to and from the meal.
