Coming up this month:

  • Thurs June 6th: City Council Sensory team will be present to talk about aids for hearing, visual or mobility impaired people who need advice> Also “Hear to help” (Action on Hearing Loss) will be present to help people with their hearing aids
  • Thurs June 6th: 1.30pm; History Group: Bill Williams talking about the origins of the Manchester Jewish Community

  • Wed 12th June: DayTrip for over 40 members who are going to “the  Venue” in Clevelys for a meal and a walk on the promenade
  • Thurs 13th June: coffee morning. George Knight from Age Concern will be coming to provide information about the 4G mobile network which will be switched on later this year and the effect it might have on Freeview reception
  • Thurs 20th June: coffee morning. This will be Janet’s last day as the wheelchair support worker at CGN and there will be a prersentation to her at the coffee morning. Also there will be an event to mark the official opening of the CGN greenhouse in the garden plot at the back of the church by Councillor Sheila Newman. All welcome
  • Sun 23rd June: Chorlton Gardens Open Day event. Both the CGN garden at the back of the church and Bernard & Anita’s garden in Ivygreen Road will be open as part of that event on the day. Both will be also raising awareness about Good Neighbours and hopefully some fund raising for CGN as part of this event
  • Thurs 27th June: Coffee morning: we are hoping to have a special coffee event as part of the Chorlton Coffee festival that is happening this week. More details about this later
