This week (09-05-18) we welcomed Andy Barry from the Royal Exchange Theatre, together with three of his Royal Exchange elders company- members over the age of 60 who develop performance skills and indeed, put on performances
Andy made sure that the workshops took place in a very relaxed and supportive manner and it was great fun. We also learned a lot about constructing a short performance in small groups, each of whom was given a random object to work with – things like a wooden bowl, a woollen doll, a pill box
At the end of it we were all given information of the various activities of the Elders programme and I am sure several of those who attended this workshop would follow this up to continue with theri interest in drama which has be
en awakened with the Good Neighbours workshops
