If your New year’s resolution is to get a bit fitter and meet new people then why not come and try one of our exercise classes ? CGN has a range of classes for older people to suit everyone’s ability including a predominantly seated class for those with reduced mobility on Friday mornings 10-11, leading up to a more vigorous class on Wednesday afternoon at 1.30pm -2.30pm for those wishing to do a bit of cardio work. Monday afternoons 1.30- 2.30pm is more dance based but still focussing on increasing flexibility and muscle tone. All three classes are geared towards Falls prevention and aim to improve your balance and muscle strength and mobility. Resistance bands and small weights are used during the sessions which are run by very experienced instructors. Tea and coffee afterwards . Please Telephone for more information or just turn up.
If formal exercising is not your thing then you could always come to the Friday gardening session 10-1pm when you could join our small team of volunteers who will welcome you to do some weeding and planting as well as drinking cups of tea and listening to bad jokes!
