What’s On at CGN – Feb update

1. Next Monday 4th February our Positive Living Group topic will be ‘establishing a balanced well being’. Debra will be talking through strategies and hearing your ideas for achieving this.Just come along 10-12 .

2. History talk: Thursday 7th February:
George Hastings – 17th Century Quaker life in the North West (see photos) . Originally Quakers met in each other’s homes but in 1673 they purchased a plot of land on the corner of Jackson’s Row and Deansgate


3. Live Music Now have let me know about their next free ‘Songs and Scones’ concert at the Bridgewater hall which will take place on Tuesday 19th February. 10.30am -12 noon. The session starts with tea and scones and socialising, followed by an informal concert led by a professional folk /pop trio who are trained to work with older communities. Please can you come back to me fairly quickly if you want a space so that i can book it for you.

3. Be Well health Check : On Thursday 28th February 8.30am – 2.30pm our colleagues from the Be Well service will be here to run free health checks for those aged 40 – 74 years, checking for conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. Appointments are available by ringing 07702872861 but I am sure if you just turn up they could fit you in
