September 2019 events at Good Neighbours

1. Thursday 19th September . Our AGM is taking place at 11.00 am here at Wilbraham St Ninians Church followed by soup, roll and cakes. Thank you as always for your support for coming to this meeting.
2. Thursday 26th September  CGN is running an event as part of Chorlton Book Festival 10.30 -11.15am , here in the main hall at St Ninians
Stories of Our Lives is a project that has just finished running when we brought together older storytellers and younger writers to spend time together listening to recollections about childhood , working life and travel and holidays. The writers then chose one particular memory and wrote about it , trying to capture the feelings that were evoked in the recollection.  Many stories are humorous or have an interesting focus. So on the 26th we are inviting both story tellers and writers along to share their experience of the project and read some of those short compositions. Please come along and support them and maybe it might encourage you to join in on any future sessions we run.
3. Tuesday 8th October 2- 4pm at St Clements Church , CGN is running a funeral planning workshop. Led by people experienced in end of life planning we invite you along to a free informative workshop which will help you think about your funeral wishes. Booking required so please telephone Helen on 881 – 2925 or email if you want to book a space.
4. Thursday 3 October Andrew Simpson and Peter Topping are here talking about the history of local churches and places of worship so that will be really interesting.  1.30pm  All welcome .
