Dear All
Please can I encourage you to support a couple of events taking place during the Chorlton Arts Festival that Chorlton Good Neighbours members are involved with . I think they would really appreciate your support if you have time to come down to either of these sessions :
1. Wednesday 15th Sept 10.30am The CGN drama group are performing their radio play ‘Kerfuffle Towers’ written by local actor and Playwright Nakib Narat . It centres on a group of older residents in a housing complex who have to deal with a load of teenagers gatecrashing their flats after their coach breaks down . Lots of jokes and fun to be heard . Tea and coffee provided.
2. Thursday 16th Sept 1-2.30pm . The CGN Art group will be displaying their work in the main hall and you can also join in a mindfulness doodling session. Local artists Trae England Shortt and Amanda Farrar have been tutoring and leading the group to produce some amazing work so come along and see for yourself. Tea and coffee provided.
We are also starting a new service ; a digital drop in each Thursday 10-11.30am with worker Aidan McIlroy . Together with volunteers, AIdan will be available to support any queries people have with any equipment and IT generally . We also have 3 tablets on Digital Drop in flyer finalsite that residents can have a go on and be supported to become more confident with. People can just turn up or ring for more information. I attach a flyer detailing the session but please encourage others to come and have a go or bring their mobile phone or device to the session.
All good wishes and thank you for your support
Helen
