Manchester Council Winter Fuel Hardship Fund support
There is a special Council Winter Fuel Hardship Fund support for Manchester older pensioners due to the withdrawal of Winter Fuel Payment for those not receiving Pension Credit and or above that threshold.
People can call the Cost of Living Helpline.
The free advice line number is 0800 023 2692. This line is open Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm and offers support to Manchester residents . You can also submit a forma online .The fund went live a few weeks ago and the uptake has been very low. It will be available through the New Year
