Visual Awareness Training
Nina Rio (from Peru) is an enablement officer at Henshaws whose offices are at Washbrook House in Stretford. Many of us who grew up in the area knew Henshaws as “the Society for the Blind ” based on Chester Road in a large Victorian building that was eventually demolished in 1972. Henshaws now supports people living with sight loss and other related disabilities through education, care, employment opportunities, and assistive technology services
Nina came (25-07-25) to Good Neighbours to give a visual awareness training session for volunteers which was excellent – informative, participative and also good fun.
Nina offers to make this visual awareness training to any local community group. We all benefitted from this session and would encourage other groups to take up this offer
