CGN’s Friday Exercise Class with Don

  CGN run 3 onsite exercise classes in St Ninian’s Hall. This is the Friday class led by Don O’Connor which runs from 10-11am each Friday and is aimed at exercises which help in building up strength and preventing falls

Typical Manchester Bonfire Nights we remember. A discussion about  bonfires, bangers, rip raps, penny-for-the guy, parkin, treacle toffee, chestnuts, catherine wheels and much more. They were real community events in which we as kids played a central role, but they were also dangerous

Drumming Collective’s Zsuzsa Foldes ran a drumming session for Chorlton Good Neighbour’s Melodics Singing Group last week. The group meet every week on Thursday mornings at 11.30am after the CGN coffee morning, All welcome

Chorlton Good Neighbour’s coach trip to Oswaldtwistle Mill took place on Nov 6th 2024. There was a lovely meal and a cabaret singer, plus plenty of time to buy shoes, clothes, get some Christmas gifts and no rain! What’s not to like? A great time was had by all

Enid Wood

Enid Wood was involved in Chorlton Good Neighbours from its inception over 25 years ago. Here are some of her memories (originally recorded in 2011) of being a volunteer for CGN and of the people she helped. There is a memorial service next week for Enid at St Ninians Church
