Visit to the Bourne Poacher

On Monday 22nd September, Chorlton Good Neighbours headed out to Bollington for our annual trip to the Poachers Inn. Surrounded by views of fields and horses, and with a perfect autumn day of gentle sunshine, a good time was had by all.

The menu included tasty offerings of prawn cocktail and soup, roast dinner and lasagne, Eton mess and apple crumble. The staff were lovely and we were very well looked after and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the place. The meal was followed by a game of Bingo and then a sit in the Beer Garden to enjoy the afternoon sun.

Thanks to all who came on the trip and made it an enjoyable day out. Special thanks to the volunteers and drivers without whom the trip would not have been possible, and thanks to all the staff at the Poachers Inn for making us all so welcome and looking after us so well.
