Finally, more than two years since Chorlton Good Neighbours started their campaign to support our member Bob Cowan to be able to get the Ushavov medal for Arctic Convoy veterans from the Russian Government, the day finally came. Below are some photos and video of the ceremony in Manchester Town Hall on 13 Oct 2014 when the Russian Ambassador to the UK gave the Ushakov medal to Bob Cowan and about 40 other surviving Arctic Convoy veterans from the region, all of whom are in their 80’s or 90’s
