Some up and coming events – mainly at the Thursday coffee mornings
1. Thursday 25th January : 10.30am
the children from Chorlton park primary are coming to sing a couple of songs from their xmas performance of Scrooge, where they also raised £269 for CGN
Our nurse Eileen Kendrick will also be here at our regular ‘nurse clinic’ if anyone wishes to see her with any health concern.
2.Thursday 1st Feb
Our Hear to Help colleague Diane Whitehead will be here 9.30-11.30am to check people’s hearing aids, clean the moulds and supply new batteries as well as give advice. Just turn up .
Also coming along at 10.30am will be Nakib Narat , a local playwright and actor who is hoping to set up some drama therapy/reminiscence project with CGN people and other interested local residents. He will give a brief overview of the idea that he and some theatre based colleagues could run for us, and gather expressions of interest. All welcome.
3. Thursday 8th February at 10.30am
4. Friday 9th February 1.30-2.45pm
Please come along and support Brookburn Primary’s exhibition of WW2, where they will give a short performance and show everyone what they have been learning . One of our volunteers is also going along as an american GI. Could you let me know if you could support this as the children do so appreciate people giving an hour to go into school.
5.Thursday 22nd Feb
students from the Manchester University Music society will be coming at 10.30am to sing for us. Last year they were amazing so please come along if you are interested.
