Chorlton Good Neighbours Launch Free Drama Workshops for over 60s

Getting Older In Manchester Should Mean Getting Bolder
& Having an Even More Fulfilling Life!

Chorlton Good Neighbours support Manchester’s Ageing Well initiative with a free Drama Course for people age 60+

  • Available to anyone in Chorlton, Chorlton Park and Whalley Range; the Workshops are funded by Manchester City Council’s Neighbourhood Investment Fund.
  • The sessions are led by qualified, professional Theatre Practitioners ensuring an exciting, caring, supportive, environment, even for people completely new to performing.

Participants will learn simple acting techniques, through a range of fun exercises and interactive games, leading to the production of a small Community Show. With no lines to learn, new friendships to be made, and new skills in theatre craft to look forward to, the group will aim to take the performance out to local centres and residential homes. So, why not come along and give it a go?

Start:            The free ten week course runs from April 4th to June 6th 2018
When:          Every Wednesday morning
Time:            10:00am-12 noon
Venue :        St Ninians Church Hall, the corner of Wilbraham Rd / Egerton Rd South, M21

The Programme has been put together by Chorlton based actor and playwright Nakib Narat, who will support guest Theatre facilitators for each of the different sessions.
