Today on Thursday 18th October we welcomed Cath Brownhill and Jenny Slee who came to give a free talk and demo of how the defibrillator works. Especially important since we now have a defibrillator at CGN.
In fact Monday 16th October was “world resuscitation and Save a life day” . 21 volunteers and older members from CGN took part in two sessions. Plenty of interesting questions were asked and Cath went through the procedure from the moment someone collapses through to using the defibrillator and continuing chest compressions. Everyone felt reassured that the machine told them the steps to take.
We are hoping to arrange another session soon when other people can come and take part. Thank you Cath and Jenny.
