Next Thursday’s History talk (Thurs 6th Dec 1pm-2.45pm) with Michael Thompson who is showing small clips from his Wargen film, about peoples’ recollections of WW2 .
Much of his work has been carried out with historian Dan Snow and the film is of high quality. The idea this time will be that Michael will show a number of 3 minute clips, and then there will be a small discussion and feedback session about that topic.
He hopes to show clips relating to: Call up, rationing, evacuation, Americans and others visitors and then, VE day , coming home, wisdom & legacies….
We are hoping also that a few students from Chorlton high school may be able to join us that afternoon, so we welcome your support for our final Thursday of the year.
