Zoom History Talk July 2nd – “The Beatles Before They Were Famous”

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Emma Fox’s talk on the Manchester Bee. It went really well with 28 of us watching and listening  to a very interesting talk. The photographs worked wonderfully well and there was time for questions at the end
I am hoping to organise these on a monthly basis now via Zoom, until we can resume in the Hall as before,  and Steve Millward (@SteveMPopPundit) has kindly offered to do the next one for us on Thursday 2nd July at 1.30pm . This will be more of a music based one , and many of you will know Steve from previous talks.

Here are the details :
The Beatles – Before They Were Famous
The formative years of well-known musicians are often just as interesting as their time in the limelight. This is certainly true of The Beatles, the major entertainment phenomenon of the twentieth century. This talk will explore their family origins, childhood and teenage years and how they came together as a band. Their talent was major, but luck and coincidence also played their part. The story ends on the verge of their worldwide success.
