Public Realm Plan for the centre of Chorlton goes live

The City Council’s “Public Realm Plan for the centre of Chorlton” has now gone live . You can download it at:
https://is.gd/9ccc6j

It’s long and full of idealised images of perfect happy people in perfect weather on unreal looking public spaces, which I find a bit creepy. Also the maps of the different parts of central Chorlton, when you increase their size to try and read them just become a blur. (Try looking at the three Public Realm Focus Areas in any detail) Then there all the jargon words and acronyms (TROs, GMALs and our old friend the SWOT). But there is a lot of detailed information in the plan too

This consultation is live from Monday 19 February to Monday 19 March and you can find out more about the plan and chat to us (who are us?) at one of the drop-in sessions:
Thursday 7 March, 3–7pm at Chorlton Central Church
Saturday 9 March, 1–4pm at Oswald Road Primary School

Also importantly there is a “have your say” online survey which is easy to understand and where you can put your views in at
https://surveys.manchester.gov.uk/s/IYES82/
